Price gifting the way you pack it, and reward bigger carts
A gift of six bottles needs one box, not six. Charge the way you pack, and make gifting free over a cart total you set.
One gift and one fee for the whole cart
With Gifting for Orders, a new gift product starts on 1 per cart. Customers pay for one gift, however many items the cart holds.
- Priced by the wrap. Each gift costs the price of the gift choice the customer picks.
- See it before you save. Pick a rule, and a sample cart shows how many gifts it adds.
- Left-out products never count. Products your display rules leave out never add a gift.
Or give every item in the cart its own gift
Pick the rule that counts the cart the way you wrap it. The fee follows whatever the customer adds.
- 1 per item. Every item gets its own gift, so 2 shirts add 2 gifts.
- 1 per line item. Each line in the cart gets one gift, whatever its quantity.
- 1 per variant. Lines with the same variant share one gift.
- Customers choose. The gift goes in the cart once, and customers change its quantity there.
Charge by the box when one box only holds so much
Set how many items or how much weight one box holds. Wrapped counts the boxes an order needs and rounds up.
- By item count or weight. With Gifting for Orders, choose 1 box per item limit or 1 box per weight limit.
- A limit for each box. Each gift box can hold a different amount at its own price. Customers pick the box.
- Weight in your units. Set a limit in kg, g, lb, or oz, and Wrapped reads the weights on your products.
Reward bigger carts with free gifting
Take money off gifting once a cart reaches a total you set, or make it free. Shopify takes it off the gift automatically, so customers have no code to enter.
- Up to three discount levels. Each takes a percentage off the gift, and 100% makes it free. The highest level the cart reaches applies.
- Cart total or item quantity. Gifting for Orders counts the cart total. Gifting for Products counts the quantity of the item the gift is on.
- Stacks with your discounts. It combines with your product, order, and shipping discounts.
- Treat your VIPs. Keep the discount for signed-in customers with any of your tags.
Probably the best in class for Gift Wrapping. I have probably tried the top 10 apps for gifting, but none even come close.
Questions about pricing rules and discounts
How many gifts does a cart get?
Your pricing rule sets it. 1 per cart adds one gift, 1 per item adds one for every item, 1 per line item adds one for each line, and 1 per variant adds one for each variant. With Customers choose, customers set the quantity in the cart.
What does a customer pay with Gifting for Products?
One gift for each item the gift is added to. A customer who buys 2 of a product with a gift gets 2 gifts, each at the price of the gift choice they pick.
How are gift boxes counted?
Wrapped divides the order by the box's limit and rounds up, and an order always gets at least one box. When you charge by weight, products with no weight are not counted.
Can gift wrap be free over a cart total?
Yes. Set a discount level at 100% off, and gifting is free once the cart reaches that total. The gift itself does not count toward the total.
Does the gifting discount stack with my other discounts?
Yes. It combines with your product, order, and shipping discounts. Shopify takes it off the gift automatically, and customers see its name at checkout.
Can I keep the discount for my VIPs?
Yes. Add customer tags, and only signed-in customers with any of those tags get it. You can also count only the items from collections or products you pick.
